These works were implemented to reduce an existing car dealership workshop and form a new Seat showroom within the area. The works required the strip out of all the existing services, workshop equipment, partition walls and external glazing.
The old glazed screens and roller shutters to the front and side of the building were replaced with new external glazing, pedestrian access doors and bi-folding doors for vehicle access.
New fire rated stud walls and glazing were installed to form the new showroom area sectioned off the remaining workshop area A new corridor, including new walls, ceilings and lighting were formed through an existing parts storage area to provide access to a newly formed handover bay area .
The old work shop concrete floor was prepared ready to take new ceramic and soft floor finishes to provide a new sales environment for both the staff and vehicles. The concrete floor had channels chased out ready for floor services to be installed providing power and data to the new desk and car locations. A full new electrical installation was installed including new feature lighting along with the installation of a new air conditioning system throughout. The existing offices were completely refurbished with new ceilings,lighting, flooring and decorations.
The entire newly formed and existing sales areas were decorated to the new brand specification colours. New paving was installed to the front facet to facilitate the new entrances along with new entrance feature and totem signage bases. New external cladding was installed to the front facet of the building along with the side facets being sprayed to the Seat brand colour requirement.
The existing car park areas had old steel barriers removed and new hoop barriers installed. A new wash bay facility was installed externally. A new Gas fired heating system was installed to the remaining workshop area.
